Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded to accompany an advertisement for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway with her voice, also gave her the track a little more attention. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic, and becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not as a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to develop. Her parents inspired her to write. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mother had told her that her songs would not just help her get noticed, however, they could also help others understand their significance within the global community and see what can be done with them She decided to start playing in front of the public. At age 6 She began playing the piano and at nine, started writing songs. The family members didn't know about her music until she reached 14. Aurora was not a goal. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
